In the glass, Le Volte 2021 shows a bright, deep ruby color with youthful purple reflections, underlining its freshness and energy. The nose is open and expressive, with dark cherries and blackcurrants at the forefront, wrapped in notes of red rose, subtle spice, and hints of dried herbs and graphite. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a lively, tonic character. Le Volte is crafted from carefully selected Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in coastal Tuscan vineyards that benefit from a mix of maritime influences, warm days and cooler nights. This Mediterranean climate, combined with well-drained, varied soils, gives ripe, concentrated fruit while preserving acidity and aromatic lift. Grapes are typically harvested by hand parcel by parcel at optimal ripeness to preserve the integrity of each variety. Vinification takes place in stainless steel to highlight purity of fruit, followed by maturation in a combination of small oak barrels (often previously used for Ornellaia’s top wines) and larger vessels to gently round the tannins without overwhelming the wine with oak, resulting in a polished yet vibrant style tailored for earlier enjoyment.

Le Volte 2021 is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with classic Tuscan-inspired dishes such as tomato-based pastas, grilled sausages, roast chicken, and Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
