Lynch Bages is situated on the gravelly plateau of Bages, just outside the village of Pauillac, where deep gravel over limestone and clay provides ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and its Bordeaux companions. The 2019 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, sourced from meticulously managed vineyards with low yields to maximize concentration and terroir expression. Grapes are carefully hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and sorted to ensure only the best berries are used. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats, with each parcel vinified separately to preserve its character, followed by aging in French oak barrels (a significant proportion new) to build structure, complexity, and longevity while maintaining balance and purity of fruit.
