The nose opens with bright red and black cherry, wild berries and ripe plum, followed by floral hints of violet and subtle notes of Mediterranean herbs, sweet spice, and a touch of vanilla and mocha from oak aging. On the palate, this is medium-bodied and finely textured, with silky tannins and a lively Tuscan acidity that keeps the wine fresh and food-friendly. Production
Villa Antinori Rosso 2023 is sourced from carefully selected vineyards across Tuscany, combining hillside sites with well-drained, stony and clay-limestone soils that naturally limit yields and concentrate flavor. Grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, parcel by parcel, to preserve freshness and varietal character. After destemming and gentle crushing, the different varieties are fermented separately in temperature-controlled tanks to capture bright fruit and fine tannins, with maceration tailored to each grape. The wine is then aged—partly in oak barrels and partly in tank—to integrate structure and complexity while preserving the blend’s vibrant, modern style, before final blending and bottling.
