Veuve Clicquot Rosé Veuve Clicquot
Veuve ClicquotVeuve Clicquot Rosé is a vibrant, beautifully crafted Champagne that brings an extra layer of elegance and red-fruited charm to the House’s iconic Brut Yellow Label style. Made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, it balances freshness, structure and indulgent fruit with effortless ease. This non-vintage rosé draws on Veuve Clicquot’s long heritage of blending and reserve wines to deliver consistency, character and immediate pleasure in every bottle.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, Veuve Clicquot Rosé shows a luminous, deep salmon-pink hue with fine, persistent bubbles that form a delicate mousse. The nose is expressive and inviting, opening with ripe wild strawberries, raspberries and cherries, accented by hints of brioche, candied citrus peel and a subtle floral touch. On the palate, this Champagne is generous yet finely poised, combining juicy red berry flavors with notes of white peach, citrus and a light spiciness. The structure of Pinot Noir provides backbone and depth, while Chardonnay brings lift and precision, and Pinot Meunier adds roundness and approachability. The finish is long, fresh and slightly vinous, with a clean, chalky edge that speaks of its Champagne origins. While primarily crafted for drinking now for its bright fruit and energy, it will hold well for several years under proper cellar conditions, gaining a touch more toast and complexity over time.
Production
Sourced from premier vineyards across Champagne, Veuve Clicquot Rosé reflects a terroir of cool climate, chalk-limestone soils and well-exposed parcels that favor slow, even ripening. Grapes are harvested by hand to preserve fruit integrity, then gently pressed and vinified in stainless steel to retain purity and freshness. The rosé color and character are achieved through the addition of specially made still red Pinot Noir from selected crus, blended with the House’s base white wines and a portion of reserve wines to ensure the signature Veuve Clicquot style. After secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine is aged on its lees in the historic chalk cellars, developing finesse, fine bubbles and subtle complexity before disgorgement and dosage.
Food & Serving
Veuve Clicquot Rosé is a versatile food Champagne, superb with tuna or salmon tartare, sushi, grilled prawns, charcuterie, roast poultry, or soft, creamy cheeses. Its vibrant red fruit also makes it an excellent partner for dishes with berries or beetroot, as well as fruit-based desserts that are not overly sweet. Serve well-chilled at around 8–10°C (46–50°F) to highlight its freshness and aromatics. A brief 10–15 minutes of aeration in the glass is usually enough; decanting is not essential, but pouring into larger tulip-shaped glasses will help the wine open and show its full bouquet.
Producer

Today, Veuve Clicquot remains a benchmark for consistent, high-quality Champagne, with its distinctive, structured yet generous style recognized around the world.
