The Bonsai Toscano Rosso is sourced from Podere Le Ripi’s famously extreme high-density Sangiovese plantings in the hills of Tuscany, where vines are cultivated almost like bonsai trees, forcing deep root systems and concentrating character into each grape. The estate is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, and harvesting is typically done by hand in small batches to ensure careful selection of perfectly ripe fruit. In the cellar, the grapes are gently vinified with a focus on preserving purity and terroir expression, with fermentation in small vessels and aging in neutral containers (such as used oak or large casks) to add subtle texture while keeping the emphasis firmly on the wine’s vibrant, finely detailed Sangiovese fruit.

Food & Serving
This Tuscan red is an excellent partner for classic Italian dishes such as tomato-based pastas, pappardelle with ragù, wood-fired pizza, grilled pork, roasted chicken and charcuterie.
