+ Read moreMinuty Rosé et Or 2024 is the prestige cuvée from Château Minuty, capturing the pure, sun‑drenched elegance of Côtes de Provence rosé. Crafted from carefully selected plots overlooking the Mediterranean, it offers a crystalline, ultra-refined style that has made Minuty a benchmark for premium Provence rosé. This cuvée continues a tradition that began in the mid‑20th century, when the winery helped define the modern, pale and aromatic rosé that the region is now famous for.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, Minuty Rosé et Or 2024 shows a luminous, very pale rose-gold hue with silvery highlights—clear, bright and almost translucent. The nose is delicately expressive yet complex, with layers of white peach, nectarine, wild strawberry and pink grapefruit, lifted by floral notes of white blossom and a subtle hint of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is finely textured and beautifully poised: silky and caressing at first, then carried by a vibrant, saline freshness that keeps everything focused and precise. Ripe stone fruit and citrus mingle with hints of redcurrant and a gentle, mouthwatering minerality. The finish is long, clean and elegant, with a persistent, finely etched freshness that invites another sip. While Rosé et Or is crafted for early enjoyment and will show at its best within 1–3 years of the vintage, the 2024 has enough structure and concentration to evolve gracefully over the short term, gaining a touch of complexity while retaining its signature brightness.
Production
Minuty Rosé et Or 2024 is sourced from top hillside vineyards in the heart of the Côtes de Provence, where the vines benefit from a maritime climate, cooling sea breezes and poor, well-drained soils of schist and limestone that naturally limit yields and concentrate flavour. Grapes—primarily Grenache and Tibouren, typical of the estate’s finest rosés, with a touch of other local varieties—are harvested at optimal ripeness in the cool of the early morning to preserve aromatics and freshness. The fruit undergoes gentle, direct pressing to extract colour with precision and purity, followed by cold settling and a cool fermentation in temperature‑controlled stainless steel tanks. No oak is used, allowing the delicacy of the fruit and the imprint of the Provençal terroir to shine through in a sleek, polished style.
Food & Serving
This refined rosé is an ideal partner for delicate Mediterranean‑inspired dishes: think tuna tartare with citrus, grilled langoustines, seared scallops, or fresh sea bream with Provençal herbs. It also works beautifully with sushi and sashimi, Niçoise salad, carpaccio of veal or beef, goat’s cheese salads and light vegetable dishes such as grilled asparagus or ratatouille. For best expression, serve Minuty Rosé et Or 2024 well‑chilled at around 8–10°C (46–50°F). Decanting is not necessary, but opening the bottle 10–15 minutes before serving and letting it stand in the glass will help the aromatics fully unfurl.
