In the glass, this Crémant shows a pale straw to light gold hue with a fine, persistent mousse and delicate streams of bubbles. Production
Château de Montguéret sources its fruit from selected vineyards in the Loire, where cool climate conditions and limestone-rich soils are ideal for producing high-acid, characterful base wines for sparkling production. Grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness to preserve natural acidity and aromatic purity. The wine is made using the traditional method: after a first fermentation in tank, the base wines are blended and bottled with liqueur de tirage for a second fermentation, creating the bubbles in bottle. The Crémant then spends an extended period on its lees, adding texture, fine bubbles and subtle pastry notes, before disgorgement and a carefully judged dosage to achieve a balanced Brut style.

It pairs beautifully with fresh oysters, shellfish, sushi, smoked salmon, and delicate white fish dishes, as well as goat cheese (a classic Loire match), light poultry, canapés and salty appetizers. It also works well with tempura, lightly spiced Asian dishes or simply as an aperitif. Serve well-chilled at 6–8°C (43–46°F). Decanting is not necessary; simply open and pour, allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass to fully express its aromas.
