Tasting Notes
In the glass, Blå pours a pale, straw-gold colour with a delicate, persistent mousse that immediately signals a sparkling wine–like experience. The aromas are refined and layered: notes of white flowers and jasmine intermingle with hints of citrus zest, green apple, chamomile and a gentle, tea-derived herbal nuance. On the palate, it is dry to off-dry, with a bright, refreshing acidity that mirrors a quality sparkling wine rather than a sweet soft drink. Subtle flavours of white grapes, pear and lemon peel are supported by floral tones, light spice and the fine tannic grip of high-quality tea, giving structure and a pleasantly long, clean finish. The absence of alcohol is almost unnoticeable thanks to the complexity and texture of the tea blend. Best enjoyed young to savour its most vivid aromatics and freshness, though it will hold well for a short time if stored correctly.
Production
Blå is produced in Denmark from a selection of certified organic teas sourced from high-quality tea-growing regions around the world. The blend typically includes delicate white and green teas, along with aromatic varieties such as jasmine and Darjeeling, chosen for their ability to mimic the nuance and structure of fine sparkling wine. Each tea is brewed separately at carefully controlled temperatures and steeping times to extract pure aroma and flavour without bitterness. The individual infusions are then blended like a cuvée to achieve balance, lightly sweetened for harmony, carbonated to create an elegant mousse, and finally bottled under pressure. No alcohol is added at any stage, making this a genuinely 0.0% alternative.

Blå is a versatile partner at the table, pairing beautifully with delicate dishes where its freshness and floral complexity can shine. Try it with oysters, shellfish, sushi and sashimi, ceviche, steamed white fish, light poultry dishes, fresh goat’s cheese, soft bloomy cheeses or vegetable-led Nordic and Asian-inspired cuisine. It also works well as an aperitif or for celebratory toasts when alcohol-free options are needed. Serve well-chilled at about 5–8°C in a Champagne flute or white wine glass.
