Production
The grapes come from the Balavaud sector of the Vétroz appellation in Valais, an Alpine Rhône valley terroir marked by alluvial gravel, schist and large stones that ensure excellent drainage and encourage deep root systems. Pinot Noir was harvested very early to preserve aromatic complexity and natural freshness, with a deliberate focus on lower yields to maximize concentration and quality. In the cellar, the wine is traditionally vinified and aged in barrel, allowing careful extraction of color and tannin and a gentle integration of oak, all handled with the meticulous precision that characterizes Jean-René Germanier’s approach.
