Zeta, Brut Reserva NV

Zeta Brut Reserva NV is a classic Spanish sparkling wine made in the traditional method, offering the elegance and freshness that have made Cava one of Spain’s most admired styles. Produced by Bodegas Espana Autentica, it reflects a thoughtful balance between time-honoured Spanish winemaking and a modern pursuit of quality, with a focus on native grape varieties.

Tasting Notes
This Brut Reserva typically shows a bright, pale straw colour with lively, fine bubbles and a clean, polished appearance. On the nose, expect fresh citrus, green apple, pear, and subtle bakery notes from extended lees aging, giving the wine a more refined and layered character. The palate is crisp and dry, with refreshing acidity, delicate orchard fruit, and a gentle mineral edge. Its reserve aging adds texture and complexity, while the traditional method brings a creamy mousse and a satisfying, persistent finish. It is best enjoyed young for freshness, though the structure and reserve maturation give it enough depth to hold well over the near term.

Production
This Cava comes from the Catalonia and Penedès area, the heartland of Cava production, where clay-based soils help support the native Spanish varieties used in the blend, including Xarel-lo, Parellada, Macabeo, and Viura. The grapes are vinified according to the traditional method, with secondary fermentation taking place in bottle, and the wine is aged for a minimum of 18 months before release.

Food & Serving
Zeta Brut Reserva NV is an excellent match for tapas, oysters, sushi, fried seafood, light poultry dishes, and creamy cheeses. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, and decanting is not recommended for sparkling wine.
