Weiser-Künstler Riesling Bio 2025 is a beautifully expressive Mosel Riesling that captures the region’s classic lightness while adding a fresh, modern twist. It combines crisp energy, delicate fruit, and a gentle touch of residual sweetness, making it both highly drinkable and unmistakably characterful. Coming from one of the Mosel’s most respected biodynamic-minded estates, it reflects the steep slate vineyards that have defined the area for centuries.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass with a vivid, bright sheen, this Riesling immediately signals freshness and finesse. The nose opens with yellow stone fruit, juicy peach, a hint of lemon balm, and subtle herbal-ethereal notes, all framed by the flinty, slate-driven character typical of Mosel terroir. On the palate, it is juicy, balanced, and lively, with a crisp acidity that gives the wine real tension. Around 20 g/l of residual sugar soften the edges and add harmony, while the low alcohol keeps it light on its feet. It is charming now, but its structure and slatey precision should also allow it to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
This organic Riesling comes from the steep slate vineyards of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, where cool climate conditions and mineral-rich soils help preserve freshness, aroma, and tension. The combination of sun-exposed slopes, excellent drainage, and old vines creates ideal conditions for nuanced, low-alcohol Riesling with a strong sense of place. Vinification is carried out with a gentle approach to preserve the wine’s purity, fruit expression, and signature slate-driven minerality.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for spicy dishes, especially those featuring chili, ginger, lemongrass, or other exotic seasonings. It also pairs beautifully with Asian cuisine, aromatic curries, lightly sweet-and-sour dishes, and salty cheeses. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
