Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense purple hue that signals concentration and energy. The nose opens with cherry, dark fruit, pepper, candied blackberry, and a subtle touch of mint, giving the wine both warmth and lift. On the palate, it is dry, bold, and structured, with balanced tannins that support the fruit without overpowering it. The finish is firm and expressive, and while already approachable, it has the depth to age gracefully over the coming years.

Production
The wine comes from Ried Oberer Wald in Rust, within the Leithaberg DAC, an area known for its distinctive terroir and strong regional identity. The Triebaumer family has been rooted in Rust since 1691, and today the estate farms 60 hectares of premium vineyards, using their long experience to bring out the best in the site and variety. This 100% Blaufränkisch is vinified to preserve structure, purity, and a clear sense of origin.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled beef, venison, roast lamb, mushroom dishes, and hearty Austrian cuisine. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if you want to soften the tannins and open up the aromatic complexity.
