Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the clarity and brightness expected of a classic Mosel Riesling. Aromas of white peach, crisp green apple, and a touch of citrus unfold with a subtle spicy nuance that reflects the vineyard’s signature character. The palate is highly precise and energetic, with piercing acidity carrying the wine’s gentle sweetness in perfect harmony. It finishes long, clean, and finely textured, with a mineral, lightly spicy edge that keeps the wine vivid and expressive. While already alluring in youth, it has the structure and balance to develop gracefully over several years.

Production
The grapes come from the Ürziger Würzgarten, a renowned steep vineyard in the middle Mosel known for its distinctive elegance and spicy, finely structured Riesling. The fruit was harvested by hand in early November from healthy, carefully maintained old vines, allowing for optimal ripeness and concentration. After a gentle pressing, the juice underwent extended skin contact for several hours to enhance aroma extraction. Fermentation took place in large wooden casks with native yeasts, followed by prolonged lees aging before bottling, giving the wine added depth, texture, and complexity while preserving its crystalline Mosel character.

Food & Serving
This Spätlese Fruchtsüss is a versatile partner for dishes with a touch of sweetness or spice. It works beautifully with Asian cuisine, glazed pork, duck, blue cheese, fruit-based desserts, or simply as an elegant wine to enjoy on its own. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
