Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale, shimmering color typical of Mosel Riesling. The nose is lifted and expressive, with white flowers, green apple, citrus, and a subtle mineral edge that speaks to the red slate terroir. On the palate, the wine is crisp and vibrant, with a dry impression balanced by ripe Riesling fruit, floral nuances, and a finely textured, mouthwatering finish. Its structure and purity should allow it to develop beautifully over the next several years, gaining extra complexity and depth with bottle age.

Production
Ürziger Würzgarten is one of the Mosel’s most celebrated vineyards, known for its steep slopes and distinctive red slate soils, which give the wines a recognizable aromatic intensity and mineral finesse. The 2021 Riesling grapes were harvested by hand, then pressed gently while still clean and healthy. To extract additional aroma, the wine underwent several hours of skin contact before fermenting in large wooden casks with natural yeasts, followed by extended lees aging prior to bottling.

Food & Serving
This dry Riesling is an excellent match for delicate fish dishes, light seafood, sushi, or mild poultry preparations, and it also pairs well with dry cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short airing can help if serving very young.
