Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a beautiful ruby-red color, hinting at its vivid and refined character. The nose opens with wild berries, juniper, tobacco, pepper, and forest floor, creating a layered aromatic profile that feels both lifted and earthy. On the palate, the wine is fresh, precise, and silky, with fruit, mineral tension, and tannins in excellent balance. It has the structure and concentration to evolve gracefully over time, and should continue to gain complexity with additional cellaring.

Production
Sankt Paul comes from a south-facing vineyard site in Pfalz with a limestone-rich base, topped by a thin layer of clay and loam, giving the wine its distinctive mineral backbone and elegant frame. The vines are carefully tended throughout the season, and the grapes are harvested and sorted by hand to preserve only the best fruit. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in small French oak barrels.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, veal, game birds, mushroom dishes, and lighter preparations of pork. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decant briefly if you’d like to let the aromas open more fully, especially in its youth.
