Description

Vranken Champagne Diamant Brut lives up to its name: a dazzling, jewel-like cuvée presented in an eye‑catching, faceted bottle that feels instantly luxurious. Crafted from a classic Champagne blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this non‑vintage brut is designed to be both elegant and generously expressive. As one of Vranken’s signature prestige bottlings, Diamant Brut reflects the house’s modern approach to Champagne, marrying tradition with a contemporary, glamorous style.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Vranken Diamant Brut shows a brilliant, pale gold hue with fine, persistent bubbles that knit into a delicate, creamy mousse. The visual impression is one of brightness and clarity, underscoring its freshness. On the nose, expect aromas of crisp green apple, Williams pear and lemon zest, layered with white flowers, freshly baked brioche and a subtle hint of almond and chalky minerality. The palate is lively and balanced, with a refined mousse carrying notes of citrus, orchard fruits and stone fruit, wrapped in a gentle pastry richness from extended lees aging. Chardonnay brings tension and finesse, Pinot Noir adds structure and red‑fruit depth, while Meunier contributes softness and approachability. The finish is clean, dry and persistent, with a lingering mineral snap. Enjoy it now for its vibrancy, but well‑stored bottles can comfortably develop additional complexity over 3–5 years.

Production
Sourced from carefully selected vineyards across the Champagne region, Vranken Diamant Brut draws on chalk- and limestone-rich soils that give the wine its precision and mineral spine. The grapes—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier—are harvested by hand, in keeping with Champagne tradition, to ensure only pristine bunches reach the press. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel preserve freshness and purity of fruit. The individual base wines are then blended to achieve Vranken’s signature house style before undergoing secondary fermentation in bottle. Extended aging on the lees in the chalk cellars develops the fine bead, creamy texture and nuanced brioche notes that characterize this cuvée, followed by dosage to achieve a balanced Brut profile.

Food & Serving
Vranken Diamant Brut is a versatile Champagne that shines both as an aperitif and at the table. Pair it with oysters, caviar, sushi, sashimi, delicate white fish, scallops, or prawn tartare to highlight its saline, mineral edge. It also complements poultry dishes, light cream sauces, vegetable terrines and soft cheeses like Brie or Chaource. Serve well-chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F) in a tulip-shaped flute or white-wine glass to allow the aromas to unfold. Decanting is not necessary, but opening the bottle 10–15 minutes before serving and letting it sit in the glass will help the wine express its full aromatic range.

Producer
Vranken Champagne is part of the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group, one of the most prominent Champagne houses, founded by Paul‑François Vranken in the late 20th century. Based in Reims, the house has quickly established a strong reputation in a region dominated by historic names, thanks to its focus on quality, precision and a distinctly modern, glamorous presentation. With extensive vineyard holdings across key crus and deep expertise in blending, Vranken has become a significant player in shaping contemporary Champagne style. The Diamant range, with its iconic faceted bottle, is emblematic of the house’s ambition: to offer Champagnes that are not only technically accomplished but also visually striking, making them a favorite for celebrations and gifting around the world.
