Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with youthful purple reflections. The nose is expressive and inviting, with ripe red cherry, blackberry, plum, and hints of violets, spice, and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is lively and medium-bodied, with Barbera’s signature fresh acidity giving the wine energy and balance. Expect juicy red and dark berry fruit, a supple texture, and a clean, food-friendly finish. While enjoyable young for its brightness and purity, it can also develop added complexity over the next few years.

Production
Sourced from vineyards in Piedmont, the wine reflects the cool, rolling terroir of the Langhe, where Barbera benefits from good sun exposure and well-drained soils that help preserve freshness and concentration. Harvest is typically done by hand to ensure healthy fruit selection. Vinification is aimed at preserving the grape’s natural vibrancy and aromatic clarity, with temperature-controlled fermentation and careful aging in a combination of stainless steel and oak, depending on the vintage and the house style.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for classic Italian dishes such as pasta with tomato-based sauces, lasagna, risotto with mushrooms, roasted poultry, grilled sausages, and antipasti. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting is optional but can help the wine open up if enjoyed early after release.
