As the house’s flagship cuvée, it highlights Veuve Clicquot’s mastery of Pinot Noir-driven Grand Cru Champagne, combining rarity, elegance, and collectible appeal in one impressive release.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a beautiful golden color with a lively, polished shimmer. The bouquet opens with white flowers such as jasmine, honeysuckle, and vine blossom, followed by fresh fruit notes of apple, pear, and peach. On the palate, the wine is silky and refined, with a graceful structure and complex layers of fresh almond, frangipane, dried apricot, hazelnut, honey, and confectionery sweetness. The finish is long and elegant, and with its strong vintage backbone it has excellent aging potential for more than 15 years.

Production
La Grande Dame 2012 is crafted from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, sourced from six Grand Cru vineyards. The cuvée is built around Pinot Noir to express depth, precision, and the character of top-tier Champagne terroir, with Chardonnay adding freshness and balance. It is made as a Brut Champagne with 6 g/l dosage and is produced only in selected years, underlining its quality and rarity.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is ideal with refined dishes such as scallops, lobster, sushi, truffle risotto, or poultry with a creamy sauce. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses or delicate canapés. Serve chilled at 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary.
