Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby to garnet hue with a dense, inviting core. The nose is generous and complex, with aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry preserve, dried plum, and sweet spice, lifted by hints of cocoa, tobacco, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is lush and velvety, balancing concentrated sweetness with freshness and gentle structure. Dark berry compote, fig, candied orange peel, and spice notes unfold slowly, leading to a long, warming finish. This wine has excellent ageing potential, and its complexity will continue to evolve for several years in bottle.

Production
Sourced from the Valpolicella Classico zone in Veneto, the wine reflects the area’s limestone-rich soils and hillside vineyards, which help preserve acidity and aromatic lift. The grapes are traditionally harvested by hand, then dried before fermentation to concentrate flavor and natural sugar. Vinification is carried out with great care to retain the wine’s richness, aromatic intensity, and balance.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with dark chocolate desserts, berry tart, almond-based pastries, or blue cheeses. It also makes a wonderful contemplative wine on its own after dinner. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 12–14°C, and decant gently if you want to open up its aromas sooner.
