Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo typically shows a garnet hue with the brightness and transparency that Nebbiolo lovers expect. The nose is layered and lifted, with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, dried herbs, and subtle spice, underpinned by earthy, savory notes. On the palate, it is poised and structured, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and a core of red fruit that gradually opens into deeper mineral and floral nuances. Production
Made from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the Monvigliero vineyard in Verduno, this wine reflects a prized Barolo site known for elegance and aromatic precision. Grapes are harvested by hand, usually in the second half of October, to ensure optimal ripeness and phenolic development. Scavino’s careful vinification is designed to preserve each cru’s identity, resulting in a Barolo that is both expressive and finely detailed.

This wine is an excellent match for truffle dishes, braised beef, roasted game, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to allow the aromatics and structure to fully unfold.
