Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo shows a graceful, bright character with a transparent ruby-garnet hue typical of Nebbiolo. The nose is lifted and layered, offering floral notes alongside balsamic accents, spice, and a pleasantly savory, almost piquant edge. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and beautifully composed, with a lively texture, fine structure, and a polished, feminine sense of balance. Production
This wine comes from 100% Nebbiolo grown in Monvigliero at around 310 meters above sea level, with a southeast-facing exposure. The soils are predominantly limestone with chalky elements, helping to preserve freshness and bring precision to the wine’s aromatic profile. Paolo Scavino’s vinification is known for highlighting the purity of each cru while keeping the wines fruit-driven, structured, and expressive.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is an excellent match for rich, flavor-forward dishes such as truffle risotto, braised beef, veal, game, and aged hard cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours when young to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.

Founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto, Tenuta Paolo Scavino is one of Barolo’s historic family estates. Today, Enrico Scavino works alongside his daughters Enrica and Elisa, combining long experience with a modern, careful approach to winemaking. The estate owns 29 hectares and farms additional historic vineyard sites across some of the region’s most important communes, and it is widely respected for producing wines of clarity, complexity, and elegance.
