Suavia’s Soave Classico DOC is a beautifully expressive white wine from the hills of Veneto, offering real character and a refined sense of place. Made by the renowned “three sisters” of Suavia, it combines classic Garganega freshness with a touch of Trebbiano di Soave for added lift and balance.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a lovely golden hue, hinting at its generous yet precise style. The nose is aromatic and inviting, with notes of apple, pear, and sea buckthorn, alongside a subtle mineral edge that brings freshness and definition. On the palate, it’s juicy and almost creamy in texture, with a medium-bodied feel that remains vibrant throughout. The finish is long and fresh, supported by a clean, mineral tension. While enjoyable now for its bright fruit and immediate charm, it should also hold nicely over the next few years.

Production
This Soave Classico is made from 95% Garganega and 5% Trebbiano di Soave, sourced from three vineyards in Fittà, Castellaro, and Tremenalto. The vines are more than 35 years old and are harvested by hand from late September, ensuring carefully selected fruit with strong concentration and balance. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then rests on its lees for four months, helping build texture and complexity, while malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to preserve its freshness and lively character.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for fish, vegetable dishes, and fresh cheeses. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, to highlight its crispness and aromatic detail. Decanting is not necessary; this wine is best enjoyed fresh and direct.
