Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a golden straw color with a slight mature sheen, hinting at both richness and development. The nose is complex and refined, opening with ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus peel, and white flowers, then moving into buttery notes, toasted nuts, vanilla, and a clear mineral undertone. The palate is full-bodied and well structured, with integrated acidity that keeps the wine fresh and focused. A creamy texture from oak aging and lees contact adds depth and polish, while the finish is long and persistent, leaving impressions of citrus zest, nuts, and a delicate spice. It is drinking beautifully now, but still has enough structure to evolve gracefully over the next few years.

Production
Villa Fidelia Bianco comes from vineyards in the hills around Spello in Umbria, where limestone and clay soils, together with cool nighttime temperatures, help preserve acidity and encourage slow, even ripening. The 2018 vintage was especially balanced, allowing for full aromatic development without losing freshness. Vinification includes partial fermentation in oak, followed by maturation in wood and contact with lees to build complexity, texture, and integration.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for richer fish dishes, shellfish, roast chicken, creamy risottos, or pasta with mushrooms and delicate butter sauces. It is best served slightly cool at 11–13 °C, and decanting is not necessary, though a short aeration can help if the wine has been stored for some time.
