Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2002 vintage is deeply colored and intense, hinting at the concentration within. Just For The Love of It 2002 is a Rhône-style blend led by 96% Syrah, supported by 2% Grenache and 2% Viognier, sourced from a mix of respected Santa Barbara County vineyards including Alban, Bien Nacido, Stolpman, Shadow Canyon, and White Hawk. The terroir reflects warm California sunshine tempered by coastal influence, helping preserve freshness and aromatic complexity in a ripe, concentrated style. Vinification follows Sine Qua Non’s hands-on, minimal-intervention philosophy, with production kept intentionally small and expressive of the fruit rather than formula.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that deserves equally expressive food: think grilled ribeye, lamb chops with rosemary, braised short ribs, or duck with a rich berry reduction. It also works beautifully with pepper-crusted steak, venison, or aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 1-2 hours to allow the aromatics and texture to fully open.
