Tenuta Sette Ponti lies in the heart of Tuscany, in the rolling hills between Arezzo and Florence, on soils that typically combine clay, galestro (friable marl), and limestone with excellent drainage—ideal conditions for Bordeaux varieties. The vineyards benefit from warm days, cool nights, and steady breezes that help preserve aromatic freshness and allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. Grapes for Oreno are usually harvested by hand, parcel by parcel, to ensure only perfectly ripe and healthy bunches make it into the final blend. After careful sorting in the cellar, the different varieties are vinified separately: fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve fruit purity and extract fine tannins rather than harsh bitterness. The wine is then aged in French oak barriques (often a significant proportion new), where it develops structure, aromatic complexity, and textural polish before blending and bottling.
