Seña 2020 from the Aconcagua Valley is one of Chile’s most celebrated icon wines, created to showcase the country’s world-class potential through a refined Bordeaux-style blend. Born from the vision of Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, it combines elegance, structure, and a strong sense of place in a wine that has become a benchmark for Chilean fine wine.

Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in the glass with violet highlights, Seña 2020 opens with a polished and expressive nose of red berries, violets, dill, rosemary, and subtle sweet spice. On the palate it is fresh, juicy, and beautifully balanced, with elegant tannins and a graceful, layered finish that reflects both intensity and finesse. The wine has the concentration and structure to age very well, gaining additional complexity over time as the fruit softens and its savory, herbal, and spice-driven nuances become more pronounced.

Production
Seña is produced in the Aconcagua Valley, where the warm climate is balanced by cooling influences that help preserve freshness and aromatic lift. The wine is crafted as a Bordeaux-inspired blend from carefully selected grapes grown under sustainable viticulture, with biodynamic and biological principles guiding the vineyard work. After vinification, it is matured for 22 months, with 90% aged in French oak barrels, 78% of which are new, and 10% in foudres.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled beef, lamb, venison, and rich dishes such as braised short ribs or mushroom risotto. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if possible to allow the wine to open fully and reveal its layered aromatics.
