Tasting Notes
In the glass, expect a deep ruby color with good concentration. The nose typically leans toward blackcurrant, ripe plum, cedar, graphite, and a touch of spice, with the 2020 vintage likely adding ripe, generous fruit character. On the palate, this is a medium- to full-bodied red with firm but refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a savory, mineral edge that speaks to Saint-Estèphe. It should show dark berry fruit, subtle oak spice, and a balanced finish, with the structure to develop nicely over the next several years.

Second de Pez comes from Saint-Estèphe in Bordeaux, where gravelly and clay-limestone soils help produce wines with backbone, freshness, and aromatic complexity.
