Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, this Sancerre shows an elegant, luminous appearance that hints at its freshness. The nose is lifted and expressive, with notes of citrus zest, white flowers, green apple, and a subtle flinty edge that speaks to the vineyard’s chalky soils. On the palate, the wine is taut and energetic, with a fine balance of crisp acidity, mineral tension, and concentrated Sauvignon Blanc fruit. Expect layers of lemon, gooseberry, pear, and wet stone, finishing long and saline. While immediately attractive for its brightness, Petit Chemarin has the structure to develop additional depth over the next few years.
