Production
Pugnitello is an ancient Tuscan grape whose name, meaning “little fist,” refers to the compact shape of its clusters. San Felice has worked with the University of Florence and the University of Pisa in its experimental vineyard to study and preserve the variety, making this wine the result of around 20 years of research and experimentation. The focus has been on protecting traditional Tuscan grapes from extinction while understanding how this rare variety performs in the vineyard and in the cellar.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs well with Tuscan-inspired dishes, roasted meats, game, grilled vegetables, and rich pasta preparations with tomato or mushroom-based sauces. Serve it at around 16–18°C to let the fruit and texture open fully. Decanting for 30 minutes is recommended if the wine is tasted young, to help reveal its aromatics and soften the palate.
