Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color with a lively, inviting edge. The nose opens generously with strawberry, rhubarb, and a hint of flinty minerality, lifted by a delicate touch of spice from the oak. The palate is charming and fresh, with juicy red fruit at the center and a vivid line of acidity that keeps everything balanced and precise. It has the soft texture and immediate appeal of a classic Bourgogne Rouge, while still carrying enough depth to make it more than a simple everyday wine. Production
Made entirely from Pinot Noir, Renommée is assembled from fruit sourced across several vineyards, with Premier Cru parcels from Santenay often providing the backbone of the wine. The grapes are harvested relatively late by local standards to build extra ripeness, concentration, and depth, then destemmed before fermentation in part in open wooden vats. After fermentation, the wine is matured for up to 12 months in older oak barrels before bottling, allowing the fruit and mineral character to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile Burgundy that works beautifully with roast chicken, veal, duck breast, or charcuterie, and it also pairs well with mild cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 14–16°C, and consider a short decant if opening it young to let the aromatics fully unfold.
