In the glass, it shows a slightly hazy straw-yellow color with green reflections, hinting at its natural style and lively personality. The nose is bright and expressive, offering citrus, green pear, white flowers, fresh herbs, and a subtle saline-mineral note. The palate is linear and energetic, with brisk acidity, a gently creamy texture, and the variety’s signature understated bitterness on the finish. Flavors of citrus zest, orchard fruit, herbs, and stony minerality carry through a refreshing, mouthwatering close. Best enjoyed young for its immediacy, though it can develop added complexity over the next few years if stored well.

Production
The grapes come from hillside vineyards near Montefalco in Umbria, where limestone- and clay-rich soils, elevation, and cool nights help preserve acidity and aromatic clarity. Raina farms organically and with minimal intervention, allowing the vintage and site to speak clearly in the finished wine. Vinification is simple and careful, with natural fermentation and mostly stainless-steel élevage, likely with a short period on the lees to add texture without muting the wine’s fresh, mineral profile.
