Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright garnet-red hue typical of Nebbiolo, with delicate ruby reflections. The nose is layered and inviting, with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, violet, dried herbs, licorice, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully structured, with fine tannins, lively acidity, and a graceful balance of fruit, earth, and mineral notes. The 2019 vintage should age very well, developing greater depth, softness, and complexity over the next 8 to 15 years, or longer in a good cellar.

Produced in Piedmont from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Barbaresco zone, this wine reflects the region’s marl-rich soils and cool climate, which help preserve freshness while encouraging aromatic precision and tannic finesse. Harvest is typically carried out by hand, with careful selection of the grapes to ensure optimal quality. Vinification focuses on preserving Nebbiolo’s elegance and character, with fermentation and maceration designed to extract aroma, structure, and color without overpowering the wine’s natural refinement. Aging is usually carried out in oak to round out the tannins and add subtle complexity while keeping the classic Barbaresco profile intact.
