Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a golden straw-yellow color with lightly mature reflections. The nose is complex and evolved, opening with ripe pear, citrus, white flowers, herbs, nuts, and a clear stony, mineral edge. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with integrated acidity, a refined creamy texture from oak and lees ageing, and a firm mineral backbone. The finish is long and persistent, marked by saline, nutty, and subtly spicy notes. It is beautifully drinkable now, yet still has the structure to develop further in bottle.

Production
The vineyards around Oslavia in Collio are rooted in ponca soils—layers of marl and sandstone that are central to the wine’s tension, depth, and saline minerality. The 2015 vintage in Friuli was warm and sunny, but cool nights preserved freshness and aromatic clarity. Klin is a white blend made in a traditional style, with partial fermentation in wood followed by oak ageing and extended lees contact to build complexity, structure, and a polished textural profile.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for rich seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken, herb-roasted poultry, risotto, and creamy mushroom dishes. Serve at 11–13 °C. Decanting is not essential, but a brief aeration can help the wine open up and show its full aromatic depth.
