Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet-red color with the translucency that is characteristic of Nebbiolo. The nose is layered and graceful, with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, wild strawberry, licorice, dried herbs, and subtle spice, often underscored by earthy mineral nuances. On the palate, it is structured and finely sculpted, with firm but polished tannins, lively acidity, and a long, savory finish that balances ripe red fruit with hints of tar, spice, and floral complexity. Like most great Barolos, it has excellent aging potential and will reward cellaring over the years with added depth and harmony.
