Tasting Notes

Production
Belle Côte is planted on the east-facing slopes of Peter Michael’s estate vineyards in Knights Valley, where the elevation and exposure support slow, even ripening and excellent flavor development. The 2022 vintage benefited from a relatively cool growing season, helping preserve natural acidity and freshness. Grapes were hand-harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation in French oak barrels, including a portion of new oak, followed by lees aging to build texture and complexity.

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, lobster, seared scallops, creamy pasta dishes, and richer fish preparations such as halibut or turbot. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if enjoying it young to help open its aromas and soften the oak.
