Pedroncelli Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2022

As the first grape the Pedroncelli family planted and the first wine they bottled under their own name in 1947, Zinfandel is at the heart of the estate’s story.

In the glass, this vintage shows the generous, ripe character Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is known for, typically with a deep ruby core and inviting concentration. The nose opens with dark berries, black cherry, and warm spice, rounded out by hints of pepper and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is lush and expressive, with juicy blackberry and plum flavors supported by a supple texture and a lively, balanced finish. Production
Sourced from Pedroncelli’s historic Mother Clone vineyard as well as Bushnell and Giovannoni vineyards in Dry Creek Valley, the wine reflects the region’s warm days, cooling influences, and well-drained Sonoma terroir. The family’s use of budwood from the Mother Vineyard to propagate new vines helps preserve the character of their original plantings across generations. Vinification details are not provided, but the focus is clearly on maintaining site expression and family tradition.
