Pago de los Capellanes’ O Luar do Sil Godello 2024 is a bright, expressive white wine from Valdeorras, one of Spain’s most exciting regions for this aromatic native grape. Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clean, luminous profile with a fresh, inviting character. The nose opens with green apple, white flowers, and a distinct mineral edge that adds precision and lift. On the palate, it is elegant and fruit-driven, with the aromas echoed in a crisp, lively taste. Balanced acidity gives the wine its refreshing drive and a clean, pure finish, while the overall style suggests good short- to medium-term drinking for enjoying its youthful aromatic charm.

Production
The grapes come from Valdeorras, a region in northwestern Spain known for producing some of the country’s most characterful Godello wines. Harvest took place in September at full ripeness, and the fruit was destemmed and cooled to 9°C before fermentation to help preserve the wine’s aromatic intensity. The wine was then aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling at the winery, keeping the style fresh, precise, and true to the grape.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for seafood, grilled white fish, shellfish, sushi, and light Mediterranean dishes, as well as fresh salads and soft cheeses. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
