Tasting Notes
In the glass, Mercury Head shows a deep, inky color that hints at its intensity. The nose is bold and expansive, with wave after wave of black fruit, minerality, and a subtle, crackling energy that keeps the richness from becoming too heavy. The palate is full-bodied and deeply concentrated, delivering blackberry, plum, and freshly cracked pepper across every corner of the mouth. The tannins and oak are expertly folded into the wine, supporting the ripe fruit rather than overshadowing it. This is a wine built for cellaring, with the structure and depth to evolve beautifully over the coming years.

Production
Fruit for Mercury Head is drawn from three of the best vineyard sites in Napa, with a strong focus on the Atlas Peak district. Each parcel is vinified separately to preserve its individual character, and only the best barrels are selected for the final blend. The wine is matured for 18 months in 50% new French oak, adding polish and complexity without losing the core of the fruit.

Food & Serving
Serve this Cabernet with richly flavored dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb chops, or truffle-infused mushroom dishes. A serving temperature of 16–18°C is ideal to showcase its aromatic depth and structure. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if enjoyed young.
