Tasting Notes
Deep orange-red in the glass, this wine shows an inviting, luminous hue that hints at its richness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with flavours of apricot, citrus, honey, and a subtle thread of oak adding complexity. The sweetness is supported by enough freshness to keep the wine lively, and it should hold well for some time thanks to its fortified, dessert-style structure.

Production
Orange River Cellars sources its grapes from experienced growers across the vast Northern Cape region known as the Green Kalahari, where warm, dry conditions help produce ripe, concentrated fruit. The winery was founded on 23 December 1965 and works with a broad network of 580 grape growers, combining regional expertise with large-scale quality-focused production. As a non-vintage style, this wine is crafted to deliver consistent richness and balance from year to year.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, to keep the wine fresh and expressive. It pairs beautifully with fruit-based desserts, almond tart, crème brûlée, and blue cheese, or can be enjoyed on its own as an after-dinner wine. Decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass will help раскрыte its aromatics.
