Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a clear ruby-red colour that immediately signals freshness and finesse. The nose is lifted and fruit-forward, with aromas of red cherry and raspberry, complemented by subtle floral tones and a gentle hint of spice. On the palate, it is elegant, juicy, and well balanced, with soft tannins and a lively, refreshing finish. The overall profile is approachable yet structured enough to age gracefully for a few years, gaining added nuance and depth over time.

Production
Santenay lies at the southern edge of the Côte de Beaune, where limestone- and clay-rich soils, together with good sun exposure, help Pinot Noir develop freshness, structure, and charm. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in a traditional way, with fermentation in open vats followed by ageing in oak barrels, including a proportion of new oak to add subtle complexity without masking the fruit.

This is a versatile Burgundy that pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, veal, mushrooms, and classic French dishes such as coq au vin or beef bourguignon. Serve slightly cool, ideally at 15–17°C, and consider decanting for about 20–30 minutes if drinking young to let the aromas open up.
