Tasting Notes
Kurni typically shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color, hinting at its concentration from the outset. The nose is intensely layered, with ripe dark berries, black cherry, plum, cocoa, sweet spice, licorice, and floral nuances, often backed by balsamic and mineral notes. On the palate it is plush, full-bodied, and highly expressive, with dense fruit, polished tannins, and a long, enveloping finish. Despite its richness, it retains freshness and energy, making it a wine that can evolve beautifully over many years.

Production
Produced in Marche from carefully tended Montepulciano vines, Kurni is shaped by the region’s warm Adriatic-influenced climate and the estate’s meticulous vineyard work. The grapes are selected with great care and vinified to preserve ripeness, depth, and aromatic complexity, resulting in a wine of exceptional concentration and individuality.

Food & Serving
Best served with rich dishes such as braised beef, game, roasted lamb, truffle pasta, or aged cheeses that can stand up to its depth and intensity. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for an hour or more is recommended to help the wine open fully and reveal its layered aromatics.
