Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Blanc de Noir shines with a pale straw to light golden hue, enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage that speaks to careful secondary fermentation and aging on the lees. The nose opens with bright notes of crisp green apple, lemon zest and white peach, followed by layers of brioche, hazelnut and delicate white flowers, with a subtle mineral and chalky edge. On the palate, Mirafiore Alta Langa Brut 2021 is dry, precise and beautifully balanced, with a creamy mousse wrapping around a lively, refreshing acidity. Production
The grapes for Mirafiore Alta Langa Blanc de Noir Brut 2021 come from high-altitude vineyards in the rolling hills of Piedmont, where cool nights and well-drained calcareous-clay soils are ideal for growing Pinot Nero for sparkling wine. The fruit is carefully hand-harvested to ensure only perfectly healthy, ripe bunches are selected, preserving acidity and aromatic purity. In the cellar, the grapes are gently pressed to obtain only the finest, lightly colored juice from the dark-skinned Pinot Nero, which is then fermented at controlled temperatures to retain freshness. The wine undergoes its second fermentation in bottle, following the traditional method, and is aged on its lees for an extended period to build texture, complexity and fine, persistent bubbles before disgorgement and a carefully judged brut dosage.

This Alta Langa Blanc de Noir is a versatile partner at the table, pairing beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi and sashimi, as well as delicately fried seafood and vegetable tempura. It also complements creamy risotti, poultry dishes, charcuterie, and soft to semi-hard cheeses such as taleggio or young pecorino. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C (43–46°F) to highlight its freshness and fine perlage. A brief 10–15 minutes in the glass or in an open bottle is sufficient to let the aromas fully express themselves; extended decanting is not necessary for this style.
