Production
The Abtsberg is a steep, south-facing Mosel site with slopes reaching up to 75%, planted on blue slate soils that retain warmth and lend the wine its characteristic mineral drive. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand, reflecting the challenge of the vineyard’s dramatic terrain and the estate’s commitment to quality. Vinification is aimed at preserving purity, finesse, and the natural balance of Riesling, with fermentation and maturation designed to highlight the vineyard’s fruit, herbal detail, and slate-driven structure rather than mask them.
