Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, this wine is lifted and bright, with an aromatic profile that quickly draws you in. The nose opens with white flowers, mandarin, citrus peel, and a subtle herbal edge, giving it a charming mix of delicacy and energy. On the palate, it is crisp and precise, with a more saline, mineral-driven feel that reflects its limestone terroir. The citrusy freshness and savory length make it especially appealing at the table, and while it is enjoyable young for its vibrancy, it should also hold well over the next few years as its texture and complexity develop.

Production
Made from Nascetta, a rare indigenous white grape of Piedmont, this wine comes from the Langhe area, where limestone soils lend the finished wine its clean mineral streak and saline tension. The grapes are harvested with care to preserve freshness and aromatic purity, followed by a vinification approach aimed at showcasing the grape’s naturally floral, citrus-driven profile and site expression.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent wine for food pairings thanks to its bright acidity and saline finish. Try it with shellfish, grilled white fish, seafood risotto, light vegetable dishes, or fresh cheeses. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary unless you want to give it a little extra air in its youth.

Mauro Marengo is a family producer in Piedmont with a strong connection to the Langhe and its traditional grape varieties. The family’s dedication to preserving Nascetta is especially meaningful, as this once-overlooked grape has been slowly displaced by more widely planted varieties such as Nebbiolo. Their work has helped bring attention to one of the region’s most characterful native whites.
