Tasting Notes
In the glass, Marun shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections, hinting at its youth and concentration. The bouquet is richly layered, opening with dark fruit such as blackberry, morello cherry, blueberry and plum, then unfolding into notes of black pepper, cocoa, clove, cardamom, vanilla, liquorice and balsamic touches, with subtle hints of tobacco and leather emerging underneath. On the palate, it is full-bodied and remarkably well balanced, with vibrant acidity and silky tannins already beautifully integrated into the wine’s powerful frame. The finish is long and persistent, leaving impressions of graphite, cinchona bark and dark cherry liqueur candy. While already highly enjoyable, it has the structure to develop further complexity over time.
