Martin Ray Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a classic, deeply appealing California Cabernet that brings together fruit from some of Napa Valley’s most prized sites, including Coombsville and Rutherford. Winemaker Leslie Renaud has leaned into the region’s warmer exposures to craft a bold, full-bodied wine with impressive depth, a style that reflects both the power and pedigree of modern Napa Cabernet.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a dark, насыщенный hue that hints at the richness to come. The nose opens with dark cherries, blueberries, licorice, dark chocolate, leather, walnuts, and dried flowers, giving it a layered and inviting aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is generous and concentrated, with ripe dark fruit at the core and extra notes of green peppercorn and cocoa adding complexity. It has a plush, mouth-filling texture and the structure to develop nicely over the next several years.

Production
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were selected from small parcels across some of Napa Valley’s warmer and more expressive terroirs, with fruit sourced from areas such as Coombsville and Rutherford. All grapes were hand-harvested, ensuring careful selection in the vineyard, and the wine was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new, adding spice, polish, and structure to the final blend.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon is a natural match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, and dishes with mushrooms or black pepper. Serve at around 16–18°C and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes to let the aromas and textures fully open.
