Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet hue with youthful ruby highlights, a hallmark of Barbaresco. The bouquet is layered and aromatic, with red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, dried herbs, and subtle spice, often joined by earthy and mineral nuances. On the palate, expect a graceful but firm structure, with vibrant acidity, polished tannins, and flavors of sour cherry, pomegranate, licorice, and tobacco. The finish is usually long and savory, with enough backbone to reward cellaring. While enjoyable with aeration now, this wine should develop beautifully over the next 8–15 years, gaining complexity and silkier tannins with age.

This is a classic match for rich northern Italian dishes such as truffle risotto, tajarin with meat ragù, braised veal, and roasted game birds.
