Maison du Cray, Bourgogne Blanc, 2022

Maison du Cray Bourgogne Blanc 2022 is a beautifully balanced Chardonnay that combines ripe, generous fruit with the freshness and finesse Burgundy is known for. Sourced mainly from the southern Côte Chalonnaise and complemented by fruit from the Côte de Beaune, it offers a classic Bourgogne Blanc profile with an elegant, silky texture and a lifted mineral edge.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale golden hue. The nose is open and inviting, with notes of yellow apple, lemon, pomelo, and peach, rounded out by subtle hints of honey and butter. On the palate, the wine is smooth and juicy, with plenty of ripe orchard and citrus fruit framed by a fresh, mineral-driven backbone. The texture is supple and refined, giving the wine an easy elegance, while the balance of fruit and acidity makes it enjoyable now and well-suited to hold its charm over the next few years.

Production
Maison du Cray sources most of the grapes from the Côte Chalonnaise, the southernmost part of Burgundy, and blends in fruit from the Côte de Beaune to build harmony and depth. The grapes are vinified to preserve freshness and purity, then aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, which helps maintain the wine’s bright fruit character and mineral precision.

Food & Serving
This Bourgogne Blanc is an excellent match for baked fish, creamy seafood dishes, and soft cheeses. Serve it at around 14°C, and decanting is not necessary.
