Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep straw-yellow color that signals both ripeness and concentration. The nose is rich and vibrant, with aromas of mature fruit layered with tropical notes, peach, and a subtle saffron nuance that gives the wine extra intrigue. On the palate, it is dry, full, and well balanced, with flavors of citrus, mint, and tropical fruit unfolding over a long, persistent finish. The wine’s structure and intensity suggest good drinking now, while its freshness and depth should also allow it to develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
Ferrata Sauvignon comes from the Breganze area in Veneto, where Maculan works with a terroir well suited to expressive white wines. The grapes are 100% Sauvignon Blanc and undergo cold maceration to enhance aromatic extraction and preserve the variety’s signature freshness and complexity.

Food & Serving
This Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, asparagus, light pasta dishes, and creamy risottos. Serve it well chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, though opening it a few minutes before serving can help the aromatics unfold.
