Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with excellent concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with ripe blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry, followed by notes of cedar, Mediterranean herbs, tobacco, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is supple yet structured, with polished tannins, bright freshness, and a core of dark fruit balanced by savory complexity. The finish is long and refined, suggesting very good aging potential over the next 5 to 10 years, though it is already highly enjoyable now.

Produced in Bolgheri, on Tuscany’s coastal strip, Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia benefits from a terroir shaped by warm sunshine, cooling sea breezes, and well-drained soils that help preserve freshness and balance. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and vinified with meticulous selection, followed by aging in oak to integrate the fruit, structure, and aromatic complexity into a harmonious whole.
